Roll On

In my opinion, Rollas are the best denim brand in Australia and they have just released images from their forthcoming summer 13 range, which are awesome!

The 70's aesthetic of the brand is so great and I haven't found a pair of jeans that fit quite so well in a long time! 

ALPHA BABY

Melbourne based label Alpha 60 draws its name from cinema legend Jean-Luc Goddard's film Alphaville, and while that's pretty much enough reason for me to love it, they also make some killer shoes and have a very fresh take on some classic styles in their clothing range as well. 

The newest drop of their winter collection has recently hit the stores (The Galeries and Oxford street) and I've been eyeing the Ayaka shoes off for months and the newest colours just make them even better and more irresistable!

I love walking into the Galeries Victoria store in Sydney, with the disturbingly awesome doll head light display and their rad collection of jewellery. its a very unique and welcome addition to the inner sydney shop scene in my book!

DRESS UP

Stephanie Downey is one of my favourite Aussie designers and I think people like herself are very much an inspiration for those working hard to keep amazing Australian fashion unique, vibrant and exciting!

Her label Dress Up Clothing has such a fantastic, simple aesthetic and although the Winter 13 look book isn't new, I'm still as obsessed with the styling and the clothes themselves as when I first saw it. 

The colour palette and silhouettes are things my fashion dreams are made of.

Catalogue

Catalogue Magazine is one of the newest and most exciting additions to the Australian and New Zealand magazine market and is available in both print and digital form.

Their unique angle on local fashion trends, reviews of up and coming labels, shopping guides and interviews are courtesy of contributions from the best and also up and coming designers, bloggers, photographers, models and more.

The Autumn issue is out now.

Also the magazines blog is super cool and has some amazing photos from the recent MBFWA.

WORKING

Vanishing Elephant has very quickly become one of my favourite labels since they started not too many years ago and with good reason. The three men behind the label have such a fantastic handwriting of both quality and design that is unrivalled in the Australian market. The newest extension of their creative prowess, this time in print form is something, like their clothes, that is unique and inspiring yet completely expected from the talented trio. The Zine "Working" includes poems, stories and photographs from people and places that inspire the brand to provide insight into the processes behind Vanishing Elephant, as well as some images from their flawless Autumn Winter '13 campaign.

THE HORSE

Australian label The Horse are made up of a very talented husband and wife team that make incredibly beautiful leather shoes. Not only are the one of the few labels that are still undertaking the fine art of boot making, they have recently moved into creating leather accessories. These unisex watches are so lovely and I'm sure are just a taste of the amazing things that to come out of "The Horse" studio.
