The Beard Attraction

The love of a good beard is not uncommon these days, mine is possibly one of the most known facts about me, but no one knows them quite like Scottish photographer Jonathan Daniel Pryce of Garcon Jon blog. Although this tumblr account, or even it's evolution into print isn't new, throughout the series, the sincerity of Pryce's photos capture a fantastic raw element of street photography that is lost by some others.

The second print version of the immensely popular 100beards blog has recently been launched in London and an all new array of facial furniture has been so beautifully put on display. I myself have a signed copy of the original book which I love and can't wait to get my hands on the next instalment.

In the name of good looking, well dressed men here are a few of my favourite shots from the project so far.

DAVID BAILEY

David Bailey is undeniably one of the greatest photographers of our time and easily one of my favourites. I love his simple, timeless approach to photographs and his unique style that has captured some of the most iconic portraits of the last 50 years.

Some of my all time favourite shots are from his "Box of Pin Ups" series which contain some of the most powerful, candid images of the true icons of the 1960's fashion, music and pop culture scene - So iconic and rare, original sets of the photographs have sold for over £20 000.

Mick Jagger

Jane Birkin

Blow Up is one of my favourite movies and as the main character is based on Bailey and his eccentric personality and reputation, I thought I'd include the poster, which I love.
